Haifa is officially worth it
Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi recently completed filming her latest music video for the song “Bidi Eish” (I want to live), written by prominent Lebanese composer Elias Rahbani.
Critics have questions what prompted such a renowned composer to work with Haifa, and it has not been revealed how much money was paid to Elias for writing and composing the song.
According to the Qatar based daily, Al Raya, Haifa admitted that she is not aware of her own self worth, and her song “Ana Haifa” (I am Haifa) is in no way intended to show conceit. On the contrary, the song revolves around a man she falls in love with, who cheats on her with another woman.
Haifa is the highest paid female Arab singer, and her latest album “Bidi Eish” ranked the highest record in sales this season.
Haifa revealed that she intends on filming a new music video, but did not disclose the title of the song.
The singer announced that she will vote in this year’s Lebanese Parliamentary elections and will cast her ballot for Sheikh Saed Al Hariri, son of the late Rafiq Al Hariri.
Haifa stressed that Saed is the best candidate, because he shares many of the good qualities of his late father, which brought him admiration throughout the Arab world.
