The famous singer Haifa Wahbi encountered problems with authorities in the Cairo airport while waiting to leave for Beirut.
Haifa wanted the air condition temperature in the VIP waiting room to be turned down where she was sitting because she was cold. First, airport personnel refused her request and later complied.
Haifa, scantily clad, became angry after waiting 45 minutes for the temperature to rise.
Haifa gave a live performance as part of the “Downtown Beirut Stars.” She wore a T-shirt with a picture of the nominated president Michael Sueleiman.
Fans that were far away from the stage started pushing their way through creating chaos. Over 60 people fainted and the stage was almost destroyed.
