Haifa Wahbi congratulates Madline Matar

Lebanese artist Madline Matar met with journalists and broadcasters for two days at the office of producer Muhammad Al Sabki in Cairo in anticipation of the launching of her first film “Akher Kalam” (Last Talk). The new comedy will be screened in June.
According to the London daily Elaph, Madline plays the role of ‘Amirah,’ a young woman who dreams of becoming a famous singer, yet her father, played by Hasan Husni refuses to consent.
Amirah become a successful singer when her father is ill, and he then discovers that his daughter is talented.
Madline sing two songs in the Egyptian dialect in the film.
Madline said there is no conflict between her and the famous Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi.
Haifa did read many scripts for films with Muhammad Al Sabki, but this specific film was not made for Haifa, said Madline.
Haifa congratulated Madline and the cast and crew of the film.
“Akher Kalam” is written by Muhammad Hifthi and Muhammad Al Qoshti and directed by Akram Farid. The film also stars the Egyptian actors Hasan Husni, Mina Arafa, Rida Hamed and Muhammad Maher.
After the screening, Madline will be free to work on her upcoming album and various music events.
