Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi has denied circulating rumors that she has been banned from Kuwait, and was barred from entering the country to inaugurate the grand opening of the of the ‘Woman and Beauty’ exhibition scheduled for December 11 and 12.
Haifa stated that the reason she will not be attending the exhibition is due to “minor problems” with the organizers of the event.
According to the Al Watan daily, Haifa stated that she was disappointed to cancel her trip, since she was looking so forward to meeting her Kuwaiti fans for the firs time.
On a different note, Haifa has filed a lawsuit against Lebanese citizen Khaled Al Muqalad for sending her obscene and inappropriate messages on her mobile phone. The singer asserted that she was fed up with Khaled’s criminal behavior and decided to take the matter to court.
Khaled asserted that the singer was at first replying to all his messages, and that he was shocked when he discovered that she was pressing charges against him.
Haifa’s personal mobile phone number became well known amongst fans, leading her to change her number.
The singer will travel to Egypt to hold two concerts on New Years Eve, and after will hold a grand performance in Dubai alongside Lebanese singers Nancy Ajram and Fadel Shaker, and UAE singer Hussein Al Jasmi.
