Haifa Wahbi disgusted with seductive singers
Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi has announced that she has nothing to do with the image people have classified her with as a seductive and inappropriate singer. She added that many have attempted to imitate her but in an incorrect way stressing that the video clips she makes are classical.
According to the daily Al Rai Al Aam, Haifa noted that she feels disgusted when watching video clips of seductive singers who wear inappropriate cloths revealing most of their body parts and use glitter on their skin stressing that they are far from being real singers. The singer expressed her joy at the popularity she has reached since the start of her singing career stressing that she never thought she would reach this point if it weren’t for her fans.
Haifa added that she never dreamt of taking part in such prestigious music festivals like Carthage and others during the summer. The singer revealed that people have come to like her because she is a sincere and natural singer and does not pretend to be something she as not as is the case with other female singers.
Wahbi is in the process of shooting her upcoming music video for the song "Bidi Eish" (I Want to Live) under the direction of Saeed Al Marouq. The new song is part of her latest album and is written and composed by prominent Lebanese composer Elias Rahbani.
The song "Bidi Eish" is the main song of the new album, which she has already recorded most of the songs for in order to have it ready for release during the Muslim holiday Eid El Fitr.
Lebanese singer Nidal Sultan is waiting for the final decision to be made by Haifa over a new duet he wishes to sing with her. Nidal has chosen Haifa especially to sing with him the song “Al Gharam” (Love), written by Al Hamid Al Habbak and composed by Ehab Abdul Wahid.
Haifa had given her initial acceptance to sing a duet with Nidal, but stressed she wished to listen carefully to the words of the song and its composition during her upcoming visit to Cairo. –Albawaba.com
