Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi has filed a lawsuit against Lebanese citizen Khaled Al Muqalad for sending her obscene and inappropriate messages on her mobile phone.  The singer asserted that she was fed up with Khaled’s criminal behavior and decided to take the matter to court.

According to the Qatar based daily, Al Raya, Khaled asserted that the singer was at first replying to all his messages, and that he was shocked when he discovered that she was pressing charges against him.

Haifa’s personal mobile phone number became well known amongst fans, leading her to change her number.

The singer will soon head off to Kuwait to inaugurate the grand opening of the ‘Woman and Beauty’ exhibition to be held on December 11 and 12.

The singer will then travel to Egypt to hold two concerts on New Years Eve.

After the New Year, Haifa will hold a grand performance in Dubai alongside Lebanese singers Nancy Ajram and Fadel Shaker, and UAE singer Hussein Al Jasmi.

There is speculation that Haifa will leave her production company ‘Rotana’ and move over to ‘Alam El Phan Production,’ owned by Muhsin Jaber.

This move comes at a time when the singer’s three-year contract has ended and she expressed no interest in renewing it for a second term.

The possibility of Haifa’s move has increased, especially after Muhsin Jabr agreed to record all of the songs that she sang on her reality television program “Al Wadi” (The Ranch) and feature them on an album, which ‘Rotana’ refused to do.
