Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi is currently living a love story with an unknown man, and plans on making a serious commitment to him. Sources have revealed that in the next few days the singer will publicly announce her relationship to end the series of rumors that have been circulating about a secret marriage.
On a different note, Haifa accused Lebanese singer Marwa of stealing the idea for her music video for the song “Rajab,” which she filmed nine months ago under the direction of Hadi Al Bajouri. Hadi claims the idea for the clip was the appearance of Haifa in the same dress worn by Egyptian legendary actress Hind Rustom in the film “Bab Al Hadeed” (The Iron Door), which is the same style Marwa used in her clip in addition to other scenes.
Hadi suspects someone who worked on the set may have passed the idea to the director of Marwa’s clip, or it may have leaked through the press. Haifa requested that Hadi develop a new idea for the clip to avoid accusations that she imitated Marwa’s clip “Sheel Eedak” (Take Your Hand Off).
Haifa had filed a lawsuit against a Lebanese magazine for publishing a caricature about her, which she found to be very insulting and demeaning. Haifa stressed that the magazine has been using her as a target for continuous ridicule disrespecting her persona and feelings.
Haifa noted that the caricature that was drawn of her made her look deformed and very ugly a matter that really made her explode in anger. The singer added that the same magazine had recently published a poll for best joke about her a matter that led to her take legal actions against them. Haifa stressed that she is not against having caricatures drawn of her, as long as it does not exceed the line of respect.
