Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi is currently preparing for her new album saying that there is a possibility she will be working with a number of Gulf composers and poets. The singer has just signed a number of contracts to hold different performances all around the Arab world participating in different festivals.

According to the London based Elaph, Haifa has received offers to hold concerts in Syria, Egypt, Jordan, and the UAE. The singer has also received an offer to hold a tour in the US but turned it down saying that it is too early in her career to undergo such a tour.

Wahbi was forced to change her plans during the New Year’s Eve to host 3 different concerts and stuck to only two performances, one being with Lebanese singer Yuri Imra’adi, after Iraqi singer Kathem Al Saher cancelled their joint concert.

After the huge success she received for her album "Huwa el Zaman" (It's the Time), Haifa announced that she is to quit modeling with no intentions to any return dedicating all her time to her musical career. "Though lots of people advised me to stick to modeling, I decided to leave this stage behind me, moving on to add a singing career to my portfolio," Wahbi said.

Despite all criticism Wahbi faced concerning the shift in career last year, she stuck her ground and continued recording her ten-song album "Huwa el Zaman", which took her almost a year to complete. - Albawaba.com
