Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi reached an agreement with playwright Faisal Nida to star in the upcoming musical play “In Kibir Ibnak” (When Your Child Grows Up). The play is also a comedy which tackles the issue of how the young generation is always seeking to find their freedom in a world full of restrictions and guidelines.

According to the UAE based daily, Al Bayan, rehearsals for the play are scheduled to begin in the upcoming few days, and will be directed by Mahmoud Abu Jalileh. Egyptian singer Tamer Husni is to costar with Haifa. It was revealed that director Ahmad Rifat will also participate in directing the musical scenes, which will take place, and make them similar to video clips seen on television.

Wahbi is also busy these days shooting a new music video for one of her latest songs under the direction of Egyptian director Hadi Al Bajouri, marking their first cooperation together. Haifa is positive of the success her new video will find, especially since she is introducing a new theme that was never introduced by any other singer.

The idea behind the video is merging more than one song together at once, in each presenting a theme. One of the songs, Haifa will appear as Egypt’s most popular seductive actress Hind Rustom. Haifa will look exactly like the late actress in her film “Bab Al Hadid” (Iron Door), in which starred in alongside late prominent actor Fareed Shawki.

Haifa is placing the final touches on her second album assuring that it will hold many new surprises for all her fans. The singer added that her voice in the new album has improved tremendously, and for this main reason prominent Lebanese composer has given her one of his compositions to include in the album. –Albawaba.com
