In light of her success as a new age singer, Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi has expressed that her talents not only lie in modeling or singing, but also in being a successful jeweler. Haifa revealed that aside from her singing career, she is also a Gemologist and an expert in the trade of jewelery, and has done many research on precious stones.
According to the Kuwaiti daily, Al Qabas, Haifa also noted that she is very much into reading and writing poetry. She has read many poems by some of the most prominent poets of the Arab world, and has the tendency to isolate herself to write her own.
Wahbi also revealed that she is currently undergoing extensive singing lessons to improve her voice and her performance. The singer is also practicing on her performance style saying she feels that it is the wisest decision she made since she took on singing.
Haifa admits that she can not be compared to other singers for she considers herself a performer and not a professional. But she felt that since she came this far in her singing career, she must undergo training for improving herself to better compete with other singers, reported the London based Elaph.
Haifa is also working on releasing a new album which she says will surprise her fans in ways they never imagined possible. She admitted that she had not put in all her efforts in her first album for she was saving all her talents for her upcoming release. She added that her upcoming album is surely to create a shock to all her fans for they will see her in a way they never had before.
The singer had also said that she is hoping on shooting two more songs from her first album in the form of a music video before shooting any of the songs from the new one.
Despite all criticism Wahbi faced concerning the shift in career last year, she stuck her ground and continued recording her ten-song album "Huwa el Zaman", which took her almost a year to complete. - Albawaba.com
