Was Haifa Wehbe’s ex-hubby, Egyptian businessman Ahmad Abu Hashima, behind the withdrawal of his ex-wifey’s latest controversial movie “Halawet Rouh” (Beauty of the Soul) from Egyptian cinemas?
Rumor has it that his close friendship with Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab had definitely something to do with it. But according to Ahmad, that’s so not true!
Ahmad released a statement denying the allegations and calling the rumor “very silly” and “not worthy of my time,” as he’s busy working on various business ventures that will play an important role in reconstructing the suffering Egyptian economy.
The Egyptian press took Hashima’s side and called on news outlets to carefully research their stories before publishing further rumors about him.
But what did Haifa think of the matter? The loyal ex-wife said that Ahmad is innocent and had absolutely nothing to do with with pulling her film from Egyptian cinemas.
The Egyptian government had withdrawn Haifa’s movie after it was deemed too inappropriate because of its “adult” and “sexual” nature.
