Egyptian singer Hakim has suddenly decided to terminate all plans for a new film "Hasan El Shater" (Good Hassan), which he was to begin filming during the upcoming few days. The singer decision came as a surprise, especially since he had made a commitment to dedicate his time completely for the film and has in fact been extremely busy with all the necessary preparations.
According to the Egyptian weekly, Al Nogoom, Hakim realized that he is neglecting his singing career with all his time going into the making of the film "Hassan Al Shater" and so decided to cancel it altogether in order to dedicate his time and effort to his music. Hakim added that he is currently preparing to begin working on his upcoming new album, which will take up all his time.
Last week, Hakim had decided to change the name of the film “Hassan Safari” to “Al Shater Hassan” (The Good Hassan) and had postponed the filming of the scenes, which were to take place in the upcoming two weeks, to a later undecided date. Hakim’s postponement came due to the fact that he is currently looking for young potential actors to costar with him in the film. All the hard work that had gone into the film from finding actors to long working sessions has now gone to waste since the singer canceled the film altogether.
Late last month, a Cairo civil affairs court sentenced Egyptian singer Hakim and his first wife, lawyer Marwa Shahine to a one week prison term with bail at the hearing over their divorce. Hakim's wife filed for divorce in November, following her husband's act of betrayal with his so-called second wife.
At the hearing, Hakim sent a request through his lawyer to solve the matter civilly and asked for reconciliation with his wife. Marwa refused all attempts by Hakim saying that what has been broken can never be fixed. She added that she intends to make Hakim pay every penny of alimony she is entitled to including the child support payments he abandoned throughout the time of their separation.
Marwa expressed resentment to her husband's 'unbearable' acts, which started a year ago with his frequent absence from home. "He used to leave us behind with no money, he showed no attention or care to me or his two kids," explained Marwa.
Hakim had assaulted his wife in a furnished apartment at the upscale neighborhood of Azzamalek, as she walked in on him and his secretary whilst 'in the act', which he later claimed to be his second wife. – Albawaba.com
