Hakim ignites flames of anger by filing a lawsuit against first wife
Egyptian singer Hakim has struck back at his wife by filing a court order against her for the fact that she has deserted her marital home, demanding she return. Marwa Ibrahim, his first wife, refused to accept the order and filed a complaint against Hakim's lawsuit saying that her husband has twisted the truth by claiming she has deserted her home.
According to the London based Arab magazine, Marwa made it clear to the court that she has never left her home or children and the fact was that Hakim has deserted her and their family to live with his second wife. She added that the singer does not even answer or return the calls made to him by his two children, in addition to his refusal to pay alimony and child support.
Marwa also said that since their dispute, that started six months ago, Hakim keeps trying to reignite problems refusing to grant her divorce. She said that his claim that she does not reside in their home is a complete lie and that her father has tried repeatedly to make mends between them but Hakim refused all efforts wanting to cause trouble.
It was added that Hakim's second wife had also filed a lawsuit against Hakim demanding alimony in order to show the court that he is supporting two homes and what ever the court decision is for the amount of alimony to be paid, it should be split in half between both wives.
Marwa had demanded a retrial after a Cairo court’s ruling denying her the right for a divorce. Marwa stressed that she is not willing to accept the verdict and filed a second complaint against her husband demanding she be granted a divorce. The court granted Marwa a second hearing on May 24, in which she will present her case once more in the hope that the final ruling will be in her favor and she is granted the divorce from Hakim.
The court had dismissed and rejected the divorce case of Marwa against her husband based on the fact that not enough sufficient evidence was found against Hakim for his wife to ask for a divorce.
Marwa had filed her first complaint against her husband for not paying child support and alimony since June 2002. She also demanded he pay the wages of five servants in addition to their children's school tuition that amounts to 7100 US dollars.
The court found Hakim not guilty of negligence towards his wife and children, with proof that he paid all due child support and alimony. The court also found Marwa's case not valid due to the fact that when she filed the complaint against her husband for beating her, her father had accompanied her as the only eye witness, in turn making her complaint invalid.
Hakim's wife filed for the divorce in November last year, following her husband's act of betrayal with his so-called second wife. Marwa expressed resentment to her husband's 'unbearable' acts, which started a year ago with his frequent absence from home. "He used to leave us behind with no money, he showed no attention or care to me or his two kids," explained Marwa. – Albawaba.com
