Hala Fakher Returns to Theater

After a three-year sabbatical, Egyptian actress Hala Fakher will return to the theater in the play Alo Ya Ard (Hello Earth). The play will be staged at the Al Salam Theater in Cairo once Awlad Al Ghadhab (Anger Sons) finishes its run. 

Costarring in the play alongside Fakher are Tareq Dussouqi and Ahmed Salameh, under the direction of Hisham Jumaah.  

The play is a comedy about a female astronaut (Fakher) who notices, during her descent, some dense smoke clouds coming out of Palestine and the Gulf area.  

She begins searching for the causes of this smoke and discovers the secrets of wars. 

Fakher’s last stage appearance was in the play Ballo.
