Hala Shiha in a “Girls Business” of her own

Young Egyptian actress Hala Shiha is busy these days shooting the scenes for her new movie "Banat Albizness” (Business girls). The London based Elaph reported that Siham Jalal, Ahmad Zaher, Dunia Samir Ghanem (In her first film debut), will costar with Hala Shiha. Elaph also added that the film is written by Medhat Ibrahim and is directed by Ahmad Zaher who is at the same time costarring in the film. 

 

Shiha’s latest film was "Toto El Ageeb" (The Extraordinary Toto), with comedian actor Hani Ramzi and directed by Amr Kerdany The movie depicts the story of an aristocratic girl, Shiha, who meets an extraordinary, young and talented man and falls in love with him despite his lower financial status.  

 

Nicknamed The Aphrodite of Egyptian cinema, Hala Shiha started her acting career two years ago in the TV series "Al Ragol Al Akhar" (The Other Man), starring alongside Nour Al Sherif and Mervat Amin. Her break-through performance in the series granted Hala the chance at grabbing the lead roles in the movies "Leih Khalletni Ahebak" (Why Did You Make Me Love You), and "Al Selem We Al Tho’ban" (Ladders and Snakes).  

 

Two months ago, the twenty-three year old actress was rumored to be thinking of quitting acting altogether and reverting to religion by wearing the head-cover. In response to one of the questions asked of her regarding the subject, Hala said, "religious issues always stay between God and the person himself. The head-cover is not something bad, but it is a commitment and I'm not thinking about it these days."  

 

Growing up, Hala always had musical and artistic talent, as she excelled at dancing, drawing, fashion designing, piano and keyboard playing. But it wasn't until renowned actor and family friend Adel Emam encouraged her to join the academy of arts, did she think of pursuing a career in acting – Albawaba.com
