Young Egyptian actress Hala Shiha was forced to leave her father’s home for over two weeks and reside in a hotel in Cairo to work extensively on completing the filming of scenes for her upcoming film “Ureedo Khal’an” (I want a divorce.)

Director of the film, Ahmad Awad, had requested the entire cast to put in extra hours in order to complete shooting all the scenes that take place in Cairo, before heading south to the city of Sharm El Sheikh to film the remaining ones.

Despite her decision not to accept any new offers during her summer reprieve, Hala decided to accept the leading role in the film alongside actor Ashraf Abdul Baqi.

Previously and while filming, the actress felt restless and requested the director give the cast a one-week vacation to escape the Cairo heat. Hala took off to her usual vacation spot on the coastal beaches of Al Ajami in Beirut.

Hala denied rumors that she demanded an inflated salary, which lead to her absence from television. The actress stated that her participation in the new television drama “Raj’elik Ya Iskindiria” (I’m Coming Back Alexandria) is proof that the rumor is a fallacy.

Hala stated that she feels producers have given her fair wages for her roles, and the reason she has not taken part in television dramas as of late, is due to her preoccupation with different films.
