Hanan Turk denies dispute with Mohammad Muneer

Young Egyptian actress Hanan Turk denied circulating rumors of an existence of disputes between her and Egyptian singer Mohammad Munir. Rumors had it that a dispute occurred between the two over whose name will go first in the list of names of actors starring in the film "Dunia", which the two are taking part in.

Hanan stressed that the rumor holds no truth to it and that she does not care if her name was tenth on the list, adding that having her name along with Munir is in itself an honor. On his part Munir also verified that the rumor is not true stressing that Hanan is not the type of person to be concerned about such meaningless issues.

After Munir reached his 25th year in the entertainment business, he decided to enter the acting world once more in the new film “Dunia” (World), which is written and directed by Joe Sileen Saab. In the film, Mohammad portrays the role of a person who is in love with poetry and singing. Eventually the young man meets a young lady, played by Hanan, who leaves her family to follow her dream of dancing and musical performances in Cairo.

Muneer stressed that this film, which is his comeback to the cinema, adds a lot to his career, and through it he is performing a role that is very close to his character in real life. The film will include actual songs by the singer and is scheduled to begin shooting scenes in the very near future.

The young generation of Egyptian actors and actresses are having the biggest part of the cake leaving the leftovers for the older movie stars. However Turk, Muna Shalabi, and Hind Sabri expressed their anger after the failure of their latest movie “A7la Al-Awqat” (The Best of Times). The movie reached rock bottom of the new movies list in its forth week and made 223 thousand EGP this week. The total sales since it was screened 4 weeks ago reached only 1.436 million EGP the thing that made producers rethink the idea of making female-stared movies.–Albawaba.com
