Egyptian actress Hanan Turk has begun shooting the first scenes of her upcoming TV drama series “Shahad”, in which she will be playing her first leading role ever on television. The story of the series tackles the issue of the spread revenge in certain areas in Egypt go to extremes and how people.
According to the London based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat, Hana plays the role of a young lady from Al Saeed (one of Egypt’s suburbs) who falls in love with a young man, but they face many obstacles from their families due to the fact that they are foes. The continuance of their parents' rage did not stop the couple from eventually getting married. Despite the happiness of their union, they faced many problems from their families, but were insistent on trying to overcome them.
On a different note, Turk has given her final acceptance to an offer by Iraqi singer Kathem El Saher to star as the leading actress in his upcoming music video for the song “Imra’a Wa Ka’as” (A Woman and a Glass). Director Muhsin Ahmad has been nominated to direct the clip which will be shot in Cairo.
Kathem had previously nominated many different actresses for the part, but negotiations were finally set on Hanan. The actress has already begun holding numerous working sessions with the director to finalize final details regarding her role in the video.
Previously, Turk was in shock when she read in tabloids that she was involved in a dispute with Egyptian actress Shireen Saif Nasr over being in the video clip with Kathem. Hanan stressed that the whole matter holds no truth to it and at the time stressed that she was never nominated by Kathem to star in any of his music videos.
Hanan added that she does not understand how the rumor came about, stressing that she had never throughout her life met Kathem let alone negotiated with him over starring in his music video.
It revealed that El Saher nominated Turk to be the leading star of his upcoming music video instead of Shireen, and that Hanan had expressed her joy and honor to be chosen by Kathem and agreed immediately saying that she holds such high respect for the singer and is one of his biggest fans.
She added Kathem had surprised her with his offer and once she read the script she knew that she could not resist especially since the song calls for an actress and not just a pretty face. The rumor also stated that no specific reason was given as to why Kathem had changed his mind suddenly about Shireen’s nomination.
Recently, it was rumored that disputes had broken out between Egyptian actress Muna Zaki and Hanan, but Muna denied the rumors stressing that it is all mere lies. Muna asserted that her relationship with Hanan could not be better and there are not any problems between them.
Rumors had it that the relationship between the two young actresses has witnessed some tension lately after news leaked to Muna that Hanan is demeaning her latest movie “Min Nazret Ain” “From Eyesight”, which did not witness the success expected.
Muna found out that in a private gathering, which included Hanan, Farouq Fishawi, Sami Adil, Yusra, and Sofia Al Omari duringl Eid El Fitr (Muslim holiday after Ramadan), movies were discussed, among which was Muna’s last movie where Hanan criticized the movie and said that the script was flaw and had no sense of humor. Hanan had added that the film did not contain any action to attract the youth, and that Muna only accepted this movie because she was offered the leading role for the fist time in her career.
