Egyptian actress Hanan Turk was in shock when she suddenly lost her voice a result of infections in her vocal cords. The actress attributed the infections after exhausting herself in shooting the scenes of her upcoming television drama “Sarah”. Hanan’s doctor advised her to take a few days off work until the infections are cure and she is able to talk again.
Egyptian Minister of Information Anas Al Fiqi has requested an authenticity of the events that take place in the drama “Sarah”, during a checkup he paid to the set of the drama at the Egyptian Media Production City.
The Minister wanted to know if the events in the drama, which revolve around a young girl who suffers from different psychological disorders and grows up to become a young lady but still has the mind of a child, could in fact reflect a real life case.
The director of the drama Shireen Adel stressed that she had consulted with over nine different psychiatrists and they had all told her that the character portrayed in the drama reflects actual cases of some patients, which received the right treatment and succeeded in turning them normal.
Hanan revealed that she underwent therapy sessions with a psychiatric in order to prepare for her role in the drama. Hanan stressed that she wants to know all the angles of her character so she can play it to perfection, so she is trying to study real cases of people who are mentally retarded.
