Eminent Egyptian actress Hanan Turk denied having the desire to compete with internationally well-known Lebanese-Colombian singer Shakira by calling her latest movie “Shakira in Munira”. Hanan insisted that the movie has nothing to do with the world pop star and there is only a similarity in names.

The Egyptian censorship did not approve of the title stressing that the pop star may sue Hanan and ask for millions as compensation for using her name to promote the movie.

According to the Al Quds Al Arabi, Hanan revealed that Shakira could only sue her if the movie revolves around the star's life story. The story of the movie talks about a normal Egyptian girl, who encountered many pressures in her life and is a romantic story narrated in a comical way.

Turk says that she had a problem in getting rid of the character she played after the filming was over. "I normally have great difficulty in getting rid of the character which creates problems with my family and husband, so I go to Dr. Farouq Latif my psychiatrist to help me in this matter," Hanan elucidated.

The film had created a commotion with the Egyptian censorship committee, for the fact that the film holds the name of the famous singer and there was a fear of facing lawsuits over the issue. Even though the film does not directly interfere with the singer's persona, officials felt that it is in the best interest to take precautions against any expected legal suit by the singer. –Albawaba.com
