It seems tht young Egyptian actress Hannan Turk is not too concerned about what most people are saying regarding her intensive public appearances since she wore the Islamic headdress the Hijab.

Despite the fact that many consider Hannan to be a strong character and believer of personal freedom, critics and journalists think she is came too strong on the public scene with her new appearance in the Hijab as if she is trying to make a drastic shift in the acting world by imprinting Islamic prinicipals in the cinema and silver screen.

Hannan had openly stated that she is very impressed with the way Iranian cinema is in the sense that most female actresses appear wearing the hijab.

But it is known that before wearing the hijab, the actress had always made it a point to participate in several occasions and appear in the public's eye regularly.

The most recent appearance Hannan made was when she left the set of her upcoming television drama "Awlad Al Shawari'" (Street Children) to participate in a fashion show by fashion designer Hani Al Buhairi and had donated her entire wage to charity.

Hannan wore a specially made wedding gown designed for women who wear the hijab, and was considered the heart of the show.

For months, Hannan has been hinting she will begin wearing an Islamic headdress, the Hijab.

Hannan finally took the big step, according to the London based Elaph.  The news is buzzing across a number of Arab satellite television channels, considered a major shock to the entertainment world.

Hannan has joined the many actors who have chosen to continue their careers while wearing a Hijab, like actress Hala Shiha, who recently returned to the scenes.

Hisham Sulieman, the producer of Hannan's drama "Awlad Shaware", has confirmed the actress is filming her scenes wearing a Hijab.
