Why, yes, I am a very jealous person, says Hind Sabri!
Artists tend to be passionate people. Passionate people tend to be competitive. And competitiveness can lead to jealousy, or so is the case when it comes to Tunisian actress Hind Sabri. She doesn’t seem like it, does she?
Hind admitted to being a very jealous and ambitious person by nature, and said that the success of actresses from her generation in last Ramadan’s dramas has driven her towards the need for success in a Ramadan drama of her own.
Although Hind’s fans desperately wanted her to film a sequel to her hilariously witty satirical comedy series “Ayza Atgawwez” (I Want To Get Married), she’s chosen to star in “Masr El Gideeda” (New Egypt) instead, reported Laha Magazine.
“I Want To Get Married” was a huge TV success. Its idea was a similar one to that of “Bridget Jones’s Diary.” Hind played the leading role (of course) in the series about a successful career woman who is desperate to get married. But unlike her on-screen character, Hind actually got married in 2008 to businessman Ahmad Sharif.
In this upcoming series, Hind will be cooperating with the majority of the crew who worked on “I Want To Get Married,” including writer Ghada Abdel Aal, and producers Tareq Al Janani and Sharif Al Mualim. Mariam Abu Ouf will direct “New Egypt.”
Currently, Hind is filming her scenes in the second sequel of the film "Al Jazirah" (The Island) alongside Egyptian actors Ahmad Al Sakka and Khaled Saleh.
