Hussain Fahmi discusses Egypt’s movie potentials with Richard Gere

Prominent Egyptian actor Hussain Fahmi has recently returned from the World Economic Forum DAVOS, in which he was one of the Egyptian members participating in the international event. While in DAVOS, Hussain met a number of internationally well-known stars like Richard Gere and Sharon Stone, whom he gave an invitation to visit <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Egypt.

According to the Egyptian based weekly, Al Nogoom, while Hussain had a prolonged chat with Richard, he discovered that the latter is searching for an Egyptian partner to work with on a number of film projects. Hussain assured Richard that Egypt has great potentials on the technical level to create great films and that he is surely to find what he is looking for.

Recently, Fahmi has broken the record of the highest number of offers received at once to star in television drama series. The actor is swarmed with offers receiving 11 scenarios and is currently going through all of them to choose the most suitable ones.

The actor has already given his approval to star in two dramas and stressed that he needs more time to go over the rest. The demand for Hussein has increased after his success in the previous dramas he took part in during the month of Ramadan.
