In celebration of the
United Arab Emirates Independence Day, singer Hussein Al Jasmi released a new
music video titled “Al Izz Izzak Ya Emirate” (Honor is yours Emirates). The
song was written by Emirati poet Hameed Bin Saeed Al Niyadi and the clip is
directed by Emirati singer Jum’ah Al Sahli.
Jum’ah requested the
assistance of a professional crew from France and Turkey to film the clip that
featured actual footage of the UAE Armed Forces. Filming for lasted for four
days.
Jum’ah said that he
wanted to show a side of the Emirates never revealed before by including the
armed forces. In the clip Hussein appears wearing a military
uniform for a specialized war pilot.
Hussein describes
himself as a “very patriotic citizen” and said that he is honored to represent
his country around the Arab world.
