Prominent Egyptian actor Hussein Fahmi has broken the record of the highest number of offers received at once to star in television drama series. The actor is swarmed with offers receiving 11 scenarios and is currently going through all of them to choose the most suitable ones.
The actor has already given his approval to star in two dramas and stressed that he needs more time to go over the rest. The demand for Hussein has increased after his success in the previous dramas he took part in during the month of Ramadan.
Recently, Hussein was furious with the accusation that the management of the Dubai International Film Festival paid him any money for being present at the Festival. Husein also defends all the Egyptian actors who were present at the festival, who were specifically asked to be there by the management of the festival. Fahmi goes on justifying; that many of the well-known Egyptian actors were asked to be present to support the festival and make it a successful one. Fahmi clears out that <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Dubai is part of the Arab World; therefore, any Arab actor shouldn’t be criticized for going to such event.
The management of the festival had reserved a private plane to carry the Egyptian actors from Cairo to Dubai. Husein says that the management had to do so, since other planes had no room for all the actors. When the festival was over with most actors went back to Egypt on their own expense.
The presence of Fahmi along side his fellow actors brings great success to the festival. Fahmi believes that the actors shouldn’t be tied up to a specific country or leader; on the contrary, they should reflect the society they live in.
