For the first time throughout his career, prominent Egyptian actor Hussein Fahmi has filmed a new television commercial for an international rug company in Dubai. A grand welcoming ceremony was held for the singer in celebration of the new commercial.
According to the London based weekly, Sayidaty, Hussein stressed that he is not ashamed of being in a television commercial and that famous international stars like Richard Harrison and Bruce Wills had previously taken part in TV commercials. He added that famous Arab stars like Yusra, Duraid Laham, Asalah Nasri and Kathem El Saher have also participated in different television commercials and that did not negatively reflect on their careers, but instead it brought them closer to people.
Recently Hussein denied recent circulating rumors of an existence of a love affair between him and Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram. The rumor was created after the two were seen spending a day together in Sharm El Sheikh swimming and relaxing with a group of friends.
Hussein stressed that a good friendship ties him with Nancy, and she always sings to him when she runs into him accidentally as was the case in Sharm El Sheikh. The actor added that he and Nancy are preparing for an upcoming film, which both have been nominated for. Hussein advised Nancy that she should not make her first cinematic experience be a musical one and should refrain from singing in the film.
Hussein is extremely busy these days taking part in two different works at the same for the small screen. The actor taking part in the Ramadan television dramas “Ya Ward Meen Yeshtireek” alongside Egyptian actress Samira Ahmad and the drama “Ashab Al Makam Al Rafeeh” (VIPs) in which he plays the role of a very successful and rich businessman. The businessman falls into several disputes with his brothers, who are greedy to take a share of his wealth at no cost.
Hussein revealed that he had turned down numerous offers to star in films for the big screen due to the fact that he felt these two roles in the television dramas could not be passed up. He added that they will add much value to his career and is hopeful they will find a lot of success among viewers. -Albawaba.com
