Prominent Egyptian actor Hussein Fahmi is working closely with different psychiatrist to study Alzheimer's disease and its side effects on the behavior of patients to properly prepare for his upcoming role in the new television drama “Al Sharid”. The drama which is written by Mahdi Yousif and directed by Omar Abdul Aziz will be filmed at the Media Production City beginning next week.
According to the Qatar based daily, Al Raya, Hussein revealed that he will be playing the role of a politician, who works at a non-government organization that specializes in solving international disputes. Throughout the course of events he is sent to Africa as a representative to help solve disputes between different tribes and is then held hostage.
Hussein is then freed with the help of an NGO, but he is found suffering from a psychological disorder that leads to his memory loss. All attempts to retrieve him to his normal state of mind fail. The drama will be shot in Egypt, Holland, the USA and one of the countries in South Africa.
Recently, Fahmi has broken the record of the highest number of offers received at once to star in television drama series. The actor is swarmed with offers receiving 11 scenarios and is currently going through all of them to choose the most suitable ones.
The actor has already given his approval to star in two dramas and stressed that he needs more time to go over the rest. The demand for Hussein has increased after his success in the previous dramas he took part in during the month of Ramadan.
