Renowned actor Hussein Fahmi is set to begin shooting the second part of the series Ya Rigal Al A’lam Ittahidu (Men of the World, Unite) which is entitled Al Nisaa Qadimat (The Women Are Coming), according to the London-based Al Sharq al Awsat daily.
“I don’t consider myself a first-class comedian, but whenever I find a pleasant role, I don’t hesitate to accept it,” Fahmi told the daily.
Fahmi will soon wrap up his role in the series Al Madhi Yaoud (The Past Returns) which was dreamed up by Raouf Hilmi, scripted by Anis Mansour, and directed by Mohammed Al Nakli. Costarring with him are Hala Fakher, Mohammed Riyadh, Zizi Al Badrawi and Rania Farid shawki.
The actor continues to play his tried and true comic roles in both series. In the series The Past Returns, Fahmi plays the famous psychiatric, Salah Noor Eddin, who builds good relationships with his patients and helps ease their suffering. He meets with a number of patients facing social problems.
The Women Are Coming was written by Atef Bishai, directed by Hasan Bashir, and costars Majedah Zaki, Hassan Hossni, Esaad Yunes, Osama Abbas and Ghada Abdel Razeq. In the series, Fahmi keeps up the frequent smiles that characterized his role in the first part – Albawaba.com
