Egyptian mega-star singer, Ihab Tawfiq will mark his debut starring performance in the movie Leih Ya Hub (Why Love?), alongside Egypt’s biggest names, reported Al Fan Al Sabe’e Magazine.
The Egyptian publication stated that Tawfiq will be acting alongside Mirvat Ameen, Mustafa Fahmi, Mona Zakka, Ghada Adel and Hani Ramzi.
The film will be a romantic musical, revolving around a love story between a girl and a boy, studying together at the Fine Arts Institute.
But the love is never complete because of differences in their social class, depicted strongly by the domineering mother, Ameen, of the young boy.
However, the story has a happy ending, and the two lovers end up together.
Shooting of the film will take place in Cairo, Beirut and Sharm El Sheikh.
The film was written and produced by Sharif Abdul Atheem and directed by Samir Seif. – Albawaba.com.
