Ten Egyptian films will be screened at the 9th Art Film International Festival, which will be held in Slovakia June 22-29, according to the Qatari daily Al Raya.
The works include five long narrative films: Iskandaria Kaman Wa Kaman (Alexandria More and More) directed by Yosef Shahin and starring Yusra; Assuo'd Ela Alhawiyah (Climbing to the Underworld), directed by Kamal Al Sheikh and costarring Madihah Kamel and Jamil Rateb; Lih Ya Banafsaj (Why Violet) directed by Radwan Al Kashef; Edhak Al Sourah Titlaa Hilwa (Smile, the Photo Will Be Nice) directed by Sharif Arafeh; and Mercedes, directed by Yusri Nasrallah.
This is in addition to five short narrative films: Annil Al Azraq (The Blue Nile), Fannan Al Khurdah (Scrap Artist), Haret Najeeb Mahfouze (Najeeb Mahfouze Neighborhood) and Qatrat Maa (Water Drop).
