Iraqis nominate Kathem El Saher for the presidency of Iraq

Listeners of the Iraqi radio station have nominated Iraqi singer Kathem El Saher for the position of the Presidency of Iraq or the position of Prime Minister. This nomination came at a time where Iraq is witnessing an ongoing crises of forming a new government.
While politicians are trying to resolve the issue of the new government, listeners of the station in Baghdad expressed their acceptance of having someone like Kathem for the position. Almost 80% of listeners voted for Kathem considering him the most suitable person for such a position and believing he can make a real difference.
One of the participants justified the nomination of Kathem for such a position saying that Iraqis are sick and tired of war and always fearing for their lives and that people are in dire need of some peace and happiness. Adding that some people even feel that a woman should be elected for the Presidency in order to bring some form of sentiment and caring to the country.
El Saher is currently busy filming the episodes for the new television program "Ma La Ta'rifonah An Kathem El Shaher" (What You Don’t Know About Kathem El Saher) for the Arab satellite television channel MBC.
Portions of the program have already been filmed in different places between Cairo and Paris, and the remaining portion is to be filmed in London during the singer's trip.
Kathem held a grand performance at the Albert Royal Hall in London on March 14, sponsored by the Melkonian Foundation and for which all proceeds went directly to needy children in the Middle East.
