Israelis fond of Maya Nasri

Lebanese singer Maya Nasri has been denoted the title ‘best loved Arab singer’ in Israel, according to a poll conducted by Israeli television regarding viewer’s interest in Arab singers.

 

After the news reached Maya, she stated, if the rumor is true, it is not her fault if Israelis or anyone for that matter, likes her music. People are free to form their personal opinions about singers regardless of their nationality, she added.

 

Nasri has filmed a new music video for the song “Rouh” (Go) with young director Emile Saleeyati.

 

The general atmosphere of the clip, filmed in an abandoned apartment in Al Ahsrafieh, Beirut, is dreary and shows the agony of a woman who suffering from the desertion of her lover.

 

Nasri recently returned to Beirut after spending one month in Egypt to take acting lessons with renowned academics, such as director Dr. Mohammad Abdul Hadi and Dr. Khalifa, to prepare her for her first film.

 

The singer has signed a contract with Production Company ‘Rotana’ to star in two upcoming Egyptian films.

 

Maya took advantage of her stay in Cairo by promoting her new album "Izzai Ti’rafni" (How Do You Know Me), appearing on different television and radio shows.
