After a three-year absence, Lebanese singer Juana Malah has returned to the scenes with her new album “Sineen” (Years), featuring seven songs to which composers from Egypt and Lebanon contributed.
According to the London based weekly, Laha, Juana revealed that she will be filming the music video for the main song of the album also titled “Sineen,” but has yet to find a director. The new album is produced by ‘Free Melody Production.’
Juana recently appeared live as a guest live on Palestine television and on Gaza FM radio station. The singer stated that she loves her singing career and it has been her number one passion for as long as she can remember.
During Juana’s radio interview she revealed that the first song she ever sang was “Wallah Ya Boyah Mukhabar Shi” (I Swear I am not hiding anything). All of her songs throughout her career are dear to her and hold a special place in her heart, but her favorite work is her latest album “Sineen,” she explained.
The singer’s career was launched from ‘Studio Al Phan’ ten years ago, after her successful participation in a number of singing contests.
Juana’s role models in the music world are Lebanese diva Sabah, Algerian singer Warda, and Egyptian singers Abdul Halim Hafez, Shadia, and Umm Kalthoum. She stated that she learned a lot from these great singers, such as their way of performing and their use of emotion in their songs.
