Julia answers her critics by doing good for Lebanon
Lebanese singer Julia Butros’s has proven critics wrong by demonstrating her patriotism. Oddly, Julia has become involved with her country’s political issues, although perhaps Julia’s voice will carry a positive message that will bring political factions in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Lebanon together.
The historic meeting between Lebanese president Ameen Al Lejmaiel and General Micheal Oun, which in itself is considered a giant step towards resolving differences between the two was not held at either’s home, but rather at a mutual friend’s home which surprisingly happened to be that of Mr. Al Yas Abo Sa’eb and Julia Butros.
According to the London daily Elaph, Julia knew of the meeting only one day in advance and was very hopeful that this kind of meeting could bring the Lebanese people together.
The singer has always stood behind her country’s people. She wants all the Lebanese people to come together and fight for their rights side by side, said Julia.
Al Yas and Julia have made noteworthy political and cultural contributions that the Lebanese people will remember.
