Lebanese singer Julia Boutrus is currently in the process of preparing for the release of her upcoming album “Ta’awdna Alaik” (We are used to you). The album will mark Julia’s first cooperation with the production company Rotana.
One of the highlights of the album is the song “Khoufi Ala Awladi” (My Fear for my Children), which is written by Nabil Abu Obeid and composed by Ziad Boutrus, Julia’s brother who composed all of the songs in the album.
The singer had always been working with her brother in all her album despite her repetitive announcements of ending their cooperation and plans of working with Ziad Rahbani.
The extensive work sessions the singer has been holding to prepare for the new album has led her to cancel most of the concerts she had previously scheduled to hold.
In her past albums, Botros dedicated some songs to such issues as patriotism and freedom - matters, which according to her, people need to further hear about. Nasheed el Horiyi (The Anthem of Freedom) is one of Julia’s greatest songs ever, which she dedicated to the liberated detainees of the southern Lebanese Khiam camp.
