Lebanese singer Julia Boutrus has begun preparations for her upcoming album, which songs are composed by her brother Ziad Boutrus and written by Nabil Abu Obeid. The singer has always been working with her brother in all her album despite her repetitive announcements of ending their cooperation and plans of on working with Ziad Rahbani.
According to the London based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat, Julia’s brother revealed that the singer intends on filming a new music video for one of the songs of her album with her sister Sofi, whom she filmed a recent video with. The extensive work sessions the singer has been holding to prepare for the new album has led her to cancel most of the concerts she had previously scheduled to hold.
In her past albums, Botros dedicated some songs to such issues as patriotism and freedom - matters, which according to her, people need to further hear about. Nasheed el Horiyi (The Anthem of Freedom) is one of Julia’s greatest songs ever, which she dedicated to the liberated detainees of the southern Lebanese Khiam camp. -Albawaba.com
