Jumana Murad storms out of interview, burns the tapes
Several news sources report that Syrian actress Jumana Murad abruptly stopped filming an interview she was doing for the premier of her latest film “Al Hafla” (The Party). Apparently, they asked one question too many.
The interview had seemed to be going swimmingly as Jumana was asked was about her upcoming Egyptian television drama “Al Sandouq Al Aswad” (The Black Box) alongside renowned Egyptian actor Khaled Saleh.
Jumana shared expressed her delight with working alongside Khaled but when the interviewer moved on to her new movies, that proved to be the beginning of the end. The starlet was asked if it bothered her that the title of her new film had already been used before for a Syrian drama. She was at a loss for words; she had forgotten the name of her drama and began to get flustered.
Murad’s storming off the set was due to a rather innocent follow up query: the reporter simply wondered who were the producer, director and remaining cast of her new film. Jumana was dumbfounded and could not recall any of the names.
It was at this point she became more than annoyed and demanded an immediate stop to the interview. There is no physical record of her breakdown because on her way out of the studio, she demanded all video records of the failed Q & A be destroyed.
