Egyptian actor Kamal Abu Rayyah has begun shooting his new series Alwan (Colors), in which he plays the role of a fine artist who comes home from the US after 20 years of maintaining his Arabic traditions and customs, according to the Arabic daily Al Bayan.

The series tells the story of Tareq (played by Abu Rayyah) who meets his previous fiancé Noora (played by Sumayyah Al Ulfi), who has married another suitor and delivered a baby girl.

But Noora breaks away from her husband because of huge differences between them, mainly their conflicts over money matters.

Tareq decides to marry Noora, who becomes a famous businesswoman. Noora plans to organize a fair for the purpose of selling her husband’s paintings without his knowledge, thinking that she will surprise him. She does not know that this surprise will lead to many problems, which confuse her and threaten her family stability.

The series was scripted by Hala Noman Ashour.

Meanwhile, Abu Rayyah is currently shooting his series Qasem Amin, to be aired in the upcoming Ramadan. He has recently wrapped up the shooting of his series Al Hawdaj, which covers the Arab World's desert nomad heritage.

The series was promoted in seven Arab and four European countries following the decision to translate the series script into English and French.

Ezzat Al Gondi wrote the script itself in the dialect of Arab nomads - Albawaba.com
