Kathem El Saher and Sulaf Fokharji together

Prominent Iraqi singer Kathem El Saher is scheduled to head to Dubai in order to film a new music video for a song written by the late Lebanese poet Nizar Qabani. The song is from the singer’s upcoming album, which will be released during the Muslim holiday Eid El Firt under the production of Rotana.
It is worth mentioning that Kathem will for the third time in his career film the clip alongside a famous actress this time Syrian actress Sulaf Fokharji. The clip will be director by Jordanian director Hussein Du’aibis. The singer has completed recording 15 songs and will choose 11 to include in his album.
Kathem is scheduled to head to Jordan to hold a charity concert under the patronage of the Royal family and which proceeds will go to the Jordan River Foundation. His next stop will be in Cairo where he will hold a concert and after which he will go on a tour around the United States of America and Canada.
The singer had held a grand performance in Syria during the beginning of October in the presence of missions from Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Italy, in addition to a number of prominent Syrian stars like Muna Wassif, Jamal Sulieman, Aiman Rida, Aiman Zeidan and many others.
On a different note, Kathem refused a request by Rotana to participate in one of their festivals, creating tension between him and the company.
The reason Kathem took this action was due to the fact that he demanded the company pay him 80 thousand US dollars in compensation for the last music video he released, which he had personally financed.
Kathem claims that it is Rotana’s obligation to pay for the production of the clip, and since they failed to do so he will not take part in any of their activities until he is reimbursed.
