Iraqi singer Kathem El Saher held a live concert on the seventh night of the Carthage International Festival in Tunisia. El Saher is one of the singers, which the Festival relies on to succeed; therefore, tickets are sold out long before the festival began.
Despite the heat and the high and unbearable humidity many of Kathem’s fans started showing and filling up the stage early. TV cameras were also set up early waiting for the entrance of the famous singer.
As soon as El Saher entered his fans welcomed him with high cheers, yet Kathem had a frightened and nervous look on his face. He explained to his fans that Carthage fans are a big responsibility for him and he should not underestimate them.
According to the London daily Elaph, Kathem tried his best not to talk to any journalist behind the scenes. He has his own way of coming up on stage and he did not want any journalist to interfere into that. Behind the scenes the Iraqi singer Hussein Al A’dami visited El Saher in his room and congratulated him for the love of his fans.
El Saher remembered his late friend Ali Taleb who is part of his music group. Taleb was killed in Baghdad. El Saher left the seat of his late friend empty filled with a bouquet of red flowers.
El Saher sang a variety of his old and new song. Before the concert started flyers were handed out to the fans saying that the Iraqi singer will be holding a press conference in one of the well-known hotels. Alongside the journalist a large number of El Saher’s fans showed up.
El Saher started the conference by how happy he feels when he goes up on stage in Carthage and yet he feels very sad when he finishes singing. He also adds that he wanted to keep the feelings of all his beloved fans that came by the thousands despite the heat to see him.
El Saher says that he has good relation with the production company Rotana, and the reason for not showing his new video clip was because it was not ready, in addition to the fact that his producer Hussein Du’abis was admitted to the hospital; therefore, the clip was delayed.
Kathem was asked about the secret behind choosing real actresses in his video clips. Kathem feels that the clips need real actresses in order to fulfill the role.
El Saher will be heading to Algeria for a live concert then afterward he will be singing on the Roman stage in Jerash, Jordan. He also adds that he will be traveling to Iraq soon, yet he did not state the reason behind his visit. However, his visit to Iraq will be a surprise for everyone.
