Khaled Saleem imprisoned

A Cairo court has released a verdict against Egyptian singer Khaled Saleem and his friend business man Ayman Yasin sentencing them to one month in jail for badmouthing a police official.

According to the London based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat, Khaled stated that he was in shock when he heard the court verdict, which he did not expect. He added that if he is found guilty he is willing to serve his sentence due to the fact that he holds great respect for the Egyptian judicial system.

Khaled called on his fans to stand by his side and pray for him. The singer’s lawyer stated that he will do what he can to prove Khaled’s innocence and is very hopeful the final verdict will be in their favor.
