Khaled Yousif denies being assaulted
Prominent Egyptian director Khaled Yousif denied recent circulating rumors that he was assaulted by a gang on his way to meet with the Libyan Ambassador. Khaled was on his way to talk to the Ambassador about the destruction of the statue of the late Egyptian President Jamal Abd Al Naser in Libya.
Yousif stressed that the news holds no truth to it and he was not attacked by anyone. Khaled expressed his surprise at such rumors that is fabricated in the aim of creating commotion.
According to the London based Elaph, Khaled said that he did not know that there were demonstrators in front of the Libyan Embassy when he arrived and he talked with them to find out the reason behind their demonstration. After learning their demands, Khaled portrayed everything to the Ambassador and all points were discussed in details.
