Said Hilmi head of marketing and sales for distributing and selling TV series, noted that the series “Faris Bila Jawad” (Knight Without a Horse) was not rejected by any Arab country or station except Kuwait. Around eighteen Arab Television channels have signed contracts with the producers to be air the series on their TV stations except Kuwait. No explanation was given as to why Kuwait refused to sign any agreement for the drama.
According to the Egyptian daily Al Akhbar, Hilmi stressed that each channel does not necessarily air the series at a given time. Each channel has outlined a special scheduling for the series in which they believe would bring them the most hits. Some channels have already began broadcasting the series, and others are waiting until mid-Ramadan or during the first few days of Eid Al Fitir.
The drama “Faris Bila Jawad” has caused uproar internationally. The series depicts the Israeli conspiracy to take over Palestine and is based on the book "Protocols of the Elders of Zion", which Israelis view as one of the most Anti-Semitism in the world.
According to the Egyptian daily Al Akhbar, Ahmed Badriddin director of the series stressed that the drama caused such uproar due to the issues it tackled and exposed. Among the issues tackled in the series is the Zionist conspiracy to establish a Jewish state that extends from the Nile River in Egypt till the Euphrates in Iraq.
The Egyptian TV adapted the book into a series with the participation of 200 actors and actresses. The Egyptian star Mohammed Subhi takes the leading role in the 30-episode series and plays nine different characters, which depict Egyptian historical, social and political profiles since the Danshuwai incident in 1906. - Albawaba.com
