Egyptian actress Laila Elwi denied circulating rumors that she has secretly married fashion designer Hani Al Buhairi, stressing that the news was simply a creation of some of the tabloids. The actress added that she does not understand why people keep making up lies that she marries secretly, assuring that if she was to get married she will announce the news publicly, reported the London based daily, Al Quds Al Arabi.
The rumor of the marriage of Elwi and actor Mahmoud Qabeel had recently died out to make way for the new rumor of her involvement with Al Buhairi. Rumors have it that there is definitely a relationship between the two, which is most likely to lead to a marriage.
It was added that the wedding will take place as soon as Laila returns from France, where she is currently at to attend the Canne Film Festival. Hani did not deny the rumor nor acknowledge it, simply saying that the issue is a personal matter and is of no one’s business.
What adds to the truthfulness of the rumor is the fact that most people from the entertainment world have assured that something is happening between Laila and Hani and that she demands his present at every single work she takes part in.
Some revealed that Hani has taken on the responsibility of choosing the wardrobe of Laila, her sister and mother, and that any time a new style comes out he shows it to Laila to see if she wants it or not. A close friend of Laila revealed that the news is a lie and that Hani had created it just to become known and increase his wage.
Recently, Elwi went on a very strict diet in order to satisfy her audience who had expressed that she needs to loose some extra weight she gained in the recent months. The actress expressed that she was not upset by the wishes of her audience for it is her duty to always appear in the way that is most satisfying to them. It has been noticed that the actress had started to gain lots of weight in the past few months and it was badly affecting her appearance.
Elwi emphasized that the role was not originally offered to the Egyptian actress Sharihan. She also denied the existence of any hidden competition between her and her colleague Yusra, stressing that they are very good friends and each of them has her own different work.
Laila disclosed that she has receives more than four new movie offers every month. But she does not want to accept an ordinary role, wanting to offer real art that would stay in the fans’ memory for a long time.
