After a long absence from the small screen, prominent Egyptian actress Laila Elwi will mark her return in a new television drama series titled “Lailat Al Ru’iyah” (The Night of the Vigil). The drama is written by Mohammad Jalal Abd Al Qawi and directed by Rabab Hussain.
The drama is the first Laila stars in since her last series “Nour Al Sabah” (Morning Light) alongside Hisham Abd Al Hameed and Khaled Al Sawi two years ago.
The new drama revolves around different social issues that concern the Egyptian society on different levels. Events are taken from instances that have been occurring since the past ten years.
