Latifa, “I dare”

In Beirut the famous Tunisian artist Latifa has launched her new ‘Khaliji’ (Gulf countries) dialect album, “Atahada” (I Dare), during a press conference held by “Platinum Records,” the company that will distribute the album throughout the Arab world. There was great press attendance from different Arab countries like Qatar, Jordan, Tunisia, Egypt and Morocco.


 According to the London daily Elaph, Latifa opened the press conference by saluting Lebanon and all Arab countries. Latifa is known for her patriotism and support for Arab unity.  Latifa said that she will sing in the ‘Khaliji,’ Moroccan, Yemeni and Sudanese dialects.


 Latifa said that she recorded her new album to leave a mark and to prove to herself and everyone that she is capable of presenting a good Khaliji album.  Latifa also said that she was the first one to congratulate the famous ‘Khaliji’ artist Ahlam on her new album and that Ahlam attended a few of her recording sessions in the studios to encourage her.
