Latifa returns home after four years

After an absence of four years from holding any concerts in her hometown Tunisia, singer Latifa is scheduled to hold a grand performance in spring for the anniversary of martyrs. Latifa has announced that she will donate her entire wage to a national fund established by Tunisian president Zein Al Abdeen Bin Ali.

 

According to the London based Elaph, it has been revealed that the singer’s absence from her country was out of her hand, and the main reason is the organizers of most festivals that take place.

 

On a different note, amongst the presence of a crowd of celebrities from all around the world Latifa was for the second time presented with the Murex D’or award for Best Female Arab Singer. The singer was chosen through a poll done by critics, journalists and fans. The announcement was made during the Murex Golden Awards Festival, which will be aired on the Lebanese Broadcasting Company in the very near future.

 

Recently, Latifa received a personal greeting from the Tunisian President Zein Al Abdeen Bin Ali congratulating her on winning the World Music Award. The president stressed in his letter that he is grateful to Latifa for loving her country and added that her presence at the awards ceremony was significant.
