Tunisian singer Latifa held a special performance for charity under the patronage of her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan, sponsored by the Jordan River Foundation.

According to the London based Elaph, Latifa thanked Queen Rania for her ongoing efforts to assist charitable organizations. She also thanked the attendees and asked them to sing along with her performance.

Latifa sang a collection of her most popular hits, in addition to special audience requests. After the event Latifa posed for a memorable photo-op with the Queen.

On a different note, during the recent war between Israel and Lebanon, Latifa called on all Arab artists to join hands and show solidarity with the Lebanese people.

"All Arab artists must work together and collect donations, whether it is for food, money or clothing, for the Lebanese people that can be delivered through the Syrian border or with the help of the Jordanian armed forces," said Latifa in an official press release.

The release contained an email address for artists from around the Arab world and ordinary citizens to make donations, stressing the importance of each contribution.

During Israel’s bombardment of Lebanon entertainment activities were cancelled or postponed to unknown dates, especially due to difficulties entering and exiting the country.
