Laura khalil attributes a Khaliji style with the help of Ibrahim Jumaa
During her trip to the United Arab Emirates, Lebanese singer Laura Khalil met a number of poets and composers in preparation for her upcoming album due to be released in the summer. One of the big names the singer has revealed will compose a song for her is UAE prominent composer Ibrahim Jumaa. The singer had held numerous negotiations with Ibrahim until the two reached an agreement on the song that will be the highlight of her next album.
According to the Arab magazine Laha, the new album will feature a variety of styles in which Laura attempts for the first time in her career to present as a means of introducing something new for her listeners. It is still unclear whether or not Laura will remain with her record production company Rotana or move on to a new one. This is due to the fact that Laura's past experience with Rotana was very unpleasant when the company delayed her previous album for over six months. The singer had made a direct and live complaint on the satellite station ART saying that she is very disappointed with the treatment of Rotana and does not plan to renew her contract.
Laura last album released last summer was a collection of revived popular songs by prominent singers, Wardeh and Sabah. The new included Wardah’s two songs: Khels al Kalam (Nothing left to be Said) and "Ya Liali" (Oh Nights) in addition to Sabah’s song "Ashqa wa Ghalbana" (lover and helpless).
The singer had performed concerts in Arab countries including Syria and Morocco, as well asr Tunisia, where she received a private invitation from the Tunisian TV within the framework of the Music Festival, which is held annually in the Tunisian capital. - Albawaba.com
