Lebanese security officials have sent a formal request to Egypt ordering that they send Lebanese singer Suzan Tamim back to Lebanon to stand trial, after she was allegedly accused of stealing 350 thousand US dollars from Adel Matouq. Suzan’s indictment by Egypt’s Interpol was based on the Lebanese request, but she was then released after the Lebanese Embassy in Cairo ordered her acquittal.

Tamim has denied accusations that she stole the 350 thousand US dollars from Adel, who claims that she is married to him. The singer denied all allegations against her stressing that her innocence will be proven in the upcoming few days.

According to the Al Rai Al Aam daily, the singer revealed that everything that is happening to her is part of a conspiracy to ruin her image and career. She added that the intervention of the Lebanese Embassy is proof that she is a victim to a demeaning scheme by sick individuals.

The singer added that she was never married to Adel as he claims and stressed that he keeps accusing her of polygamy, which is completely untrue stressing that she is not married to anyone. Suzan is living in a state of extreme depression despite the fact that the Lebanese Embassy has promised to protect her and support her through her ordeal. – Albawaba.com
